What to do when it is cold in Cancun?

Winter is the perfect season when it comes on being outdoors when you are in Cancun, and if you are vacationing you will probably find it a little bit amusing, especially when walking on the streets, you may find that most of the locals are all covered up, wearing a sweater, a leather jacket or other really warm clothing, while you are on shorts, a thin shirt and sandals, looking so fresh with a cold beer in your hand and your D&G sunglasses. But don’t worry, locals won’t be staring at you like thinking, what is this person doing dressed like that in an 18°C weather??? Isn’t He / She freezing??? All the opposite, they will see you with a smile in their faces and you may laugh too, but when if not now? , that local citizens can be wearing their winter garments that have being locked in their closets for so long!
So for winter time, here are some recommendations what to do:

1. Archeological sites are perfect places to start with! Finally, you can walk around relaxed, without sweating, and you might have all the energy to see more than at summertime, when after an hour walking you felt like you wanted to jump into the inviting crystal water of the nearby cenote, the nearest pool or simply refresh in the Caribbean Sea, but immediately!
• Chichen Itza,
• Tulum
• Coba
• Uxmal.

2. Explore Cancun by foot (Downtown and Hotel Zone)
• Downtown: Getting there is very easy and fast, once you get off the bus, you can go walking a few minutes just to get to Mercado 28 or Market 28, a very popular handcrafts shopping spot for tourists and locals. Parque de las palapas is on the way to the market, try a churros, an esquite (corn with cream, lime juice and chilli) or a marquesita (like waffle).
• Hotel Zone: in the hotel zone of Cancun, you can find a 25 km long walking road with a beautiful palm tree line. All the spots worth to visit are on this way: Shopping centers, party zone, restaurants etc…

3. Play golf on any of the wonderful evergreen golf courses! Enjoy the view, the perfect weather and this traditional high class sport!
