Oasis of the Seas

Waaa!!! This is the first thing what I would tell in the moment when I saw the grandest, biggest, hugest luxury cruiser of these days. The selection of the name is perfect: Oasis of the Seas... it actually is... a huge Oasis. Or shall we say a travelling island with numerous personal onboard?

OK, do you want to know some rapid facts on Oasis of the Seas by Royal Caribbean International?
Let's see:
- Was created in Turku, Finland and when for the first time was floated out in November, 2008 released not more nor less then 87 million gallons of water!
- 16 decks able to carry 5,400 passangers at double occupancy in 2,700 staterooms.
- Brings a new Neighborhood concept of seven different themed areas, like Central Park, Royal Promenade, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fittness Center, Youth Zone, Entertainment etc.
- Just to have an idea of the sizes: the revolutionary design of Central Park theme (one out of 7 themes) was placed at the center of the cruise ship that opens to the sky and its length is more than a football field! It is 19 mts wide and 100 mts long, included 334 staterooms. By the way, here you can feel yourself as in NYC: elegant, peaceful atmosphere, at the evening you can enjoy street performances. The most exclusive dining venue with leading-edge cuisine on Oasis of the Seas is placed here, called 150 Central Park.
- She has a Zipline of 25 mts suspended 9 decks above Boardwalk.
- Oasis of the Seas has seven godmothers: Gloria Estefan, Michelle Kwan, Jane Seymore, Dara Torres, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Shawn Johnson and Daisy Fuentes. I am absolutely sure, you know all seven godmothers! Their task will be to support the foundation which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
- First guest landed in Central Park area (according to Richard D. Fain, Chairman & CEO Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.) was... a butterfly :)
- First voyage with passengers was 1st December, 2009 in the Caribbean region.
